I am fascinated by the complexity of people, patterns in the universe, and the interconnectedness of everything. While I rarely find answers to the questions I explore through my work, I hope to encourage others to slow down, be more present, and ask questions about their own curiosities.
In a time where we place so much value on efficiency and individualism, I want to use design to foster mindfulness and connection in the way we approach life. I enjoy creating collaboratively and in tactile ways. Collaging, drawing, screenprinting, and printing on the RISO are methods that allow me to play and experiment, but also ask me to slow down and thoroughly consider the work I am making.
It’s important to me to keep a sense of wonder alive in myself and the people around me—always exploring, always playing, and always asking questions. Look at everything closely. Ask how and why. There is magic in even the most mundane things, if you just pay attention.
